Credit help for Broward County

We work with clients in Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill, and across Broward County remotely. Our process is the same for everyone: a line-by-line review of all three credit reports, disputes for items that are inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable, and honest monthly updates.

Dealing with collection accounts

Collections are among the most common items we see. You have real rights here:

  • Validation: under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a debt collector has to give you key details about the debt, including who the creditor is and how much is owed. If you dispute the debt in writing within the validation period (generally 30 days), the collector must pause collection until it sends you verification.
  • Florida law adds protection. The Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (Fla. Stat. §§ 559.55–559.785) limits abusive collection tactics and covers more than just third-party collectors.
  • Disputed debts must be marked. If you dispute a debt, a collector that reports it to the credit bureaus shouldn't report it without noting that you dispute it.
  • Old debts age off. Most negative items, including collections, can stay on a credit report for up to seven years from the original delinquency. That's different from how long someone has to sue you, which depends on the type of debt. Ask an attorney if you've been sued or threatened with a lawsuit.

On our Full Service plan, we prepare debt validation letters and direct creditor disputes along with bureau disputes. We can't remove accurate, current information, and we'll tell you honestly if an item looks correct.

How it works and what it costs

Your first consultation is free. Before you sign anything, you get our written disclosures and agreement. You can cancel without penalty within 3 business days under federal law and within 5 days under Florida law. Every fee is billed only after the work it covers is done: a one-time $99 audit fee after your first disputes are mailed, then $79/month (Basic) or $109/month (Full Service, includes Funding Readiness), billed after each month's work. See plan details.

We can't guarantee any particular result or score change. Accurate, current, and verifiable information can't be removed from your credit report. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information with the credit bureaus yourself, for free.
